Beauty Boosting Dark Chocolate


When people say that all chocolate is unhealthy, I happen to disagree! People say this statement because most store-bought chocolates are made with processed ingredients that are probably not good for you. I, however, have always been a HUGE fan of dark chocolate because of its antioxidant and mood boosting properties, and when I would buy dark chocolate in the stores, I made sure that that they were organic, fair trade, and had the least amount of processed ingredients as possible! I also made sure that they were low in sugar because who wants extra, unnecessary sugars in their foods? So if you buy dark chocolate from the stores, make sure to buy the right ones to get all of their amazing benefits! 

Then, it suddenly hit me that I could be making my own version of a healthy dark chocolate using ingredients that I know, that I trust, and that are good for you! I like to incorporate ingredients that are also great for the skin, such as my collagen peptides from Vital Proteins and my beauty dust from Moon Juice. The collagen peptides make your skin look tighter, strengthens nails and hair, helps reduce wrinkles, and could help with hair growth! And the beauty dust is a blend of adaptogenic superherbs that help combat the effects of stress to expand one's beauty, luster, and glow from within. That's why I add a little one of these squares when that sweet tooth hits at night because not only does it satisfy my craving for the choco-holic in me, but it also is a beautifying superfood because of all of the amazing ingredients I add to my Beauty Boosting Dark Chocolate Squares! So I hope you enjoy my healthy version of dark chocolate!


  • 1 cup of Cacao Butter from Nativas Organics

  • 3 tbsp of Cacao Powder from Nativas Organics

  • 2 tbsp Coconut Sugar

  • 3 packets of Stevia

  • 2 scoops of Collagen Peptides from Vital Proteins

  • Drop of Vanilla Extract

  • Dash of Pink Himalayan Sea Salt

  • 1 tsp of Beaty Dust from Moon Juice

  • Toppings: Hemp Seeds, Cacao Nibs (Optional)



  1. Bring water to a simmer in a saucepan.

  2. Place the Cacao Butter into a heatproof bowl, and place over the sauce pan, and keep stirring until the Cacao Butter melts.

  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.

  4. Once the ingredients are fully mixed into the melted Cacao Butter, place them onto a pan lined with parchment paper.

  5. Place it into the freezer until it hardens. (PS. if you want to add toppings, first place it into the freezer for about 15 minutes, take it out and sprinkle the toppings on top, and then place back into the freezer until it fully hardens).

  6. Once the chocolate is hardened, cut into small squares with a knife and enjoy!
